Dr Barbara Sommer supports Triton Legal Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mbB as Of Counsel. She has many years of experience as a partner specialising in IT law at a national commercial law firm, as well as an in-house lawyer and internal and external data protection officer. She acquired her specialisation before working as a lawyer during her doctoral studies on software infringement proceedings and in activities accompanying her doctoral studies in an interdisciplinary research project of the State of Baden-Württemberg and in the IT practice group of a large US law firm in Frankfurt.
Dr Barbara Sommer supports companies in all IT law issues and in contract drafting, e.g. in the areas of software development, IT services and cloud services. In addition, she provides comprehensive advice on data protection law and its practical implementation in companies or in the design of business models. She is also the contact person at the firm for legal questions relating to artificial intelligence.
